Our church has a yearly BBQ. The kids really enjoy the slide and they also rode on the swings (can't get me to ride the swings).

		Cabin Camping August 26, 2011 to August 28, 2011 I say cabin camping because our children only know about SCA camping. For this year's family outting, we spent the weekend at a YMCA camp near Big Bear.

In Cub Scouts, every February, there is a big dinner where all the boys progress up in rank. This is called the Blue and Gold ceremony. This year's theme was westerns.

For Joshua's 7th birthday, we had a celebrated at home with cake and some presents. Kate made a cake with Joshua's favorite animal on it.

Kate bought a science home study kit and it had a lesson involving Mentos and soda. What a fun experiment. Basically it shoots the soda into the air.

Each year, we celebrate the Chinese New Year by attending the annual parade in Chinatown near Downtown LA. The kids really enjoy the lions and dragons.

Joshua's tiger cub group visited Hart Park to look at the historical buildings on their "Go See It" for tiger cub rank.

On our drive home, I noticed the rain wasn't wet. The outside temperature was about 34 degrees. Then when we get home, kids are outside throwing ice around. For the first time in 20 years, it snows in Valencia.
