The day after Christmas we go shopping for all the sales and by more Christmas junk to decorate our house for next year. At the mall, there was this manger scene set up with out baby Jesus. Every year, House Portos put on it's Christmas party. Usually this party is located in a back house that Batista used to live in, but she's now living with Lee. Our trick-or-treating started in the afternoon with our local neighborhood having a little party (Jonah was napping). Then we walked around our local shopping center for candy. Finally, we finished up with a walk around our neighborhood. Our house ran out of candy halfway through. Kids had a blast! This is Joshua's second soccer game in AYSO. He's in a 6 and under legue, but I think Joshua is more on the "Under" side of that. Joshua's tall for his age, but the whole team was taller than him. I took a bunch of pictures, but these are the ones of Joshua. There were many missed shots, like when we scored on ourselves. This summer, our church (OLPH) hosted a week like Vacation Bible School. We enrolled Joshua since he's potty trained. At the end of the week, they have a mass featuring the kids singing. For the 4th of July, we saw our local parade on Lyons Ave. We sit in front of Starbucks and enjoy the coffee and parade. We also brought a squirt bottle to cool off the kids. MMy brother Mike celebrated his birthday at Disneyland. This is the first trip for my boys to Disneyland. They all had a good time. We even brought the RV for afternoon naps. It was a little scarry since Noah had surgery the day before and had a close call. I still have, "It's a small world after all," in my head. Every year, Thomas the Train comes to Fillmore, CA. We make it a point to visit and let the kids go wild. We spend a lot of money to get on a train that goes 1/2 mile out and back. Kids like it tho. | | | | | | | Jonah's Baptism April 18, 2009

When we were in China to adopt Jonan, Joshua bought a dinosaur egg that hatched into a dinosaur. It broke, so we thought we should visit Chinatown and see if there was another. Jonah's birthday was actually on 01/06/09, but we were busy that week. We had a little family celebration on the 6th, but this was his offical celebration with family and Carol. Joe and his family also was able to drop by on their way home. My dad is still stuck back east and couldn't make it. | | | |
